The Wheego connected car solution provides a wide range of connected features in 5 main areas:
- Vehicle Status
- Connected services
The most widely used services for the Wheego electric vehicles include:
- Remote door lock/unlock
- Remote climate control
- Find my vehicle
- Remote notification of state of charge
- News, sports and weather
The connected home shares many of the same features as the connected car.
For example, commonly used features include:
- Remote door unlock/lock
- Climate control monitoring or adjusting
- Diagnostic status alerts
- Video views
The connected home and car are tied together using Geofence technology. The Geofence, which is a virtual boundary around the home, triggers events in the home based on the position of the car. A commonly used feature is the “leave the home” Geofence. When the car crosses the Geofence boundary, the connected car talks to the connected home through the Wheego Platform. The car checks with the home to see that the thermostat is set correctly, the lights are turn off, the security system is set and the doors are locked.
The Wheego Data Analytics platform runs on a multi-node Hadoop cluster. The platform is used to improve business services, monitor vehicle performance and Wheego EV drive patterns. In the autonomous space, the data analytics platform is used to analyze Lidar and high-resolution camera data. The data analytics capability will continue to be a growing part of the Wheego services business.
