Summit Place Kia and Auto Credit Express are proud to present the Oakland and Macomb Counties Friends of the Veterans Treatment Court with a charity donation of over $90,000, which will go directly to help create more programs and opportunities for local veterans battling with alcohol and substance abuse.

Auto Credit Express Senior Vice President, Dave LaLonde, remarking on the highly successful fundraising event noted that “We had so much support from friends and family near and far. Numerous Macomb and Oakland County businesses stepped up, as well as many of our partners from out of state.”

Summit Place Kia and Auto Credit Express held their 4th Annual LaLonde Charity Golf Outing event in July 2014. Over 216 golfers attended the event, which was accompanied by a wine tasting and dinner. The outing featured sponsored holes along with silent as well as live auctions. In addition, numerous big ticket items were raffled off. One of the most popular was a Wheego Electric Car which was donated by Summit Place Kia.

A presentation ceremony was held at Summit Place Kia of Waterford where a check totaling $90,779 was handed over to 51st District Court Judge Jodi Debbrecht Switalski, who founded the treatment court in Waterford, Michigan.

“Our goal is to raise even more next year”, said Summit Place Kia Dealer Principal Rich LaLonde, “it is such an incredible program that it deserves the support of its community.”
